Every now and then I use to have heartburn, but nothing like this. I never thought too much about my heartburn too until this day. I tried the usual regimen, but nothing was working. This was a pain in my throat.</p>
<p>I went to work that day and the pain was terrible. I rushed out to the store and bought some more antacids, but everything I tried didn&#8217;t work. The pain in my throat was so bad that I had tears that ran down my face all day. I hoped that the next day would be better, but it didn&#8217;t. </p>
<p>The pain was still there the next day. I contacted my doctor and scheduled an appointment. One morning, I then found blood in my stool and I immediately went to see the doctor. </p>
<p>I made an appointment with a specialist and he had me schedule an endoscopy. Once the procedure was done the doctor informed me that I had the early signs of an ulcer in my esophagus. The doctor prescribed me medication which worked wonders for about a month and then quit working. He told me to continue taking the medication and ignore the symptoms.</p>
<p>On the 8th day of heartburn, there was something that happened. My problem worsened and now had a feeling of constant pressure in my throat. Before my heartburn use to go away from time to time, but now the problem was consistent and never went away.</p>
<p>I consulted several doctors who prescribed me different medications, but nothing seemed to work. I was taking close to 10 pills a day with no positive results. My friends who are into alternative medicine told me to come over for some suggestions.</p>

<p>There has been an intense debate on bringing such traditional knowledge under the intellectual property regime so that these can be commercialized. A predominant concern has been about the rights of the holders of these knowledge and related biodiversity. The prior informed consent of the owners or holders of this knowledge is to be obtained. A share in the profits that results from the commercialization of the knowledge and related natural resource are also to be given to the community. However, governments are yet to firmly incorporate these in their national laws. Nevertheless, these have become accepted principles internationally.</p>
<p>Acquiring the biological material such as plants, microorganisms and animals or the traditional knowledge on these biological materials without the prior informed consent of those whose traditional knowledge or biodiversity are taken is called biopiracy. <p>Avoid chocolate. Chocolates should not be a part of your diet. So do not indulge too much in them due to their high sugar content.</p>
<p>Skipping meals is actually sabotaging your weight loss goal. In fact you should eat several small meals every day in order to increase your metabolism to burn off calories.</p>
<p>Keep to a vegetarian diet as much as you can. Make a non- vegetarian diet a week end event if you find it impossible to totally give up meat.</p>
<p>You will have to eat a good meal within an hour of waking up in the morning. Doing this will give you more energy to start the day.</p>
<p>Eating too much sugar can sabotage your weight loss goals. Sugar contains lots of calories so avoid it as much as possible</p>
<p>Eat fresh vegetables instead of cooked or canned ones because they lose some of the vitamins when cooked. canned veggies are processed and therefore not as healthy as fresh.</p>
<p>Choose a variety of foods from all food groups every day. Change the items included in your diet every day.</p>
<p>Eating 4-6 small meals a day will speed up your metabolism to help you burn more calories</p>
<p>Eat your meals at around the same time every day to avoid feeling hungry at certain times which can make you eat more.</p>
<p>Do not eat just to eat, eat if you are hungry and when you are offered food just eat less of it or decline it altogether.</p>
<p>Avoid snacks or snack on vegetables, low sugar or low fat items in between meals.</p>
<p>Never eat more than 1 egg a day. Eggs are not such a bright idea. It would be best to reduce your intake of eggs to maybe three in a week. But for those of you die hard egg fans, you may have up to one egg a day but nothing more than that.</p>
<p>Alcoholic beverages too are not good for you. Beer can be fattening and the rest of the alcoholic drinks may not be fattening by themselves but after a couple of swigs you will be in no position to watch your diet and your appetite too will be something to battle with.</p>
<p>Eat more fish and turkey and avoid all red meats which includes pork. Salmon contains omega 3 fatty acids that are good for you.</p>
<p>Avoid sugar sweetened drinks and foods as much as possible and if you must then repalce them with sugar substitutes as they still taste sweet but without the calories like sugar has.</p>
<p>Limit the amount of fat you get in your diet. The amount of calories from fat should be no more than 30% of the total calories you eat per day. Figure out the amount of calories from fat by multiplying the grams of fat on the label by 9.</p>
<p>Boil your vegetables instead of cooking them, or even better, eat them fresh. However if you do not like eating your vegetables as it is, try steaming them without adding anything at all. This is probably the healthiest way to eat cabbages, cauliflowers and a host of other vegetables.</p>
<p>If you drink wine try to drink dry wines as they contain less sugar than sweet wines due to the fermentation process they go through.</p>
<p>Chew your food at least 20 to 25 times in order to add more saliva to the food as the saliva is what helps digest the sugars.</p>
<p>It is a good idea to find low or no fat foods to replace other types of food. There is now a larger variety of these low fat foods to choose from</p>
<p>In order to lower your oil intake you can fry using a non stick (teflon) frying pan, that way you do not have to use any oil or at least a lot less.</p>

<p>Can you imagine having to do 250, 000 crunches just to lose one pound of fat? You could do 100 crunches a day for 7 years just to lose that one pound. Reason being is that crunches only work exterior abdominal muscles and not the muscles that lie underneath.</p>
<p>Try the following exercises to target the correct muscles. Reverse lunge with single arm press, side plank with rotation, hip thigh raise, plank with arm lift, glute bridge march, lunge with rotation, side plank and basic plank. Lie down on your back with your palms just below your belly button. Exhale and pull your stomach inwards. Hold for 5 seconds and repeat the exercise 8 to 10 times. This will help you discover the hidden muscles.</p>
<p>The second rule is to get your bottom moving. Your butt and belly are partners. Sitting around all the time makes your glutes useless. It also causes hip flexors, the muscle that connects hips and legs, to stiffen. Because of this, your pelvis starts tilting forward. This makes your back arch more and stresses your spine. Basically, it pushes your abdomen out, causing a stomach bulge. In other words, if you want to lose your stomach, you have to move your butt.</p>
<p>The glute bridge march and hip thigh raise will build your glutes. To loosen the hip flexors, get in a lunge position, lower yourself enough to let the back knee touch the floor. Keep your back straight while you push your hips forward until you feel stretching in the front area of your hip. Hold the position for 10 seconds, relax, and do it again alternating legs. If you need a little more stretch, reach above your head.</p>
<p>Watch your diet. Instead of carbs, eat fish, meat, dairy or nuts to lose weight.</p>
<p>Decrease the processed foods like baked goods, sodas, cereal, yogurt and fruit drinks that you consume. This will decrease your sugar intake and insulin in your body as well as speed up your metabolism. It is common for people to take in 20 teaspoons of sugar a day. This is not good.</p>
<p>Decrease your anxiety levels. Eating seems to be how most people deal with stress.</p>

<p>People can have all kinds of reactions to foods that they are allergic to, ranging from nausea and sickness to swelling throats and rashes and everything in between. However, there are some cases where if left untreated for too long, nothing can be done, and the allergy results in death.</p>
<p>There are a few allergies that are extremely common, and these are to dairy products, eggs, peanuts, tree nut, seafood, shellfish, wheat and soy. These are referred to as the &#8220;big 8&#8243;. I guess we are all agreed that nothing gives us more confidence, especially women, if you have a nice, toned flat stomach. The major problem is most people have absolutely no idea how to achieve this goal.</p>
<p>The reason most people will never have a flat stomach is because there is so much hype, fad diets, crazy exercise schemes and basically everything else under the sun which doesn&#8217;t work. Also the actors/models they use to advertise their latest &#8220;must have&#8221; equipment have probably got naturally flat stomachs anyway. Keep on reading and I will hopefully blow away a few myths surrounding the &#8220;flat belly&#8221; market and you will start to understand why you are getting nowhere.</p>
<p>You will have all seen and probably tried some of flat stomach, reduce belly fat diets, pills and potions Oh and the weird exercise machines on the market at the moment which claim to reduce just the fat on your stomach. Yep and I am Father Christmas&#8230;. Sorry to be so to the point but none of these will specifically target fat stomachs. If you do decide to try and lose some weight you will start to lose fat from all areas of your body not just your stomach. <p>The answer to getting a flat belly is to lower your body&#8217;s ability to store fat. Once you realise where you have been going wrong all these years you will be amazed at how simple this is. You do not need any special diet schemes, menu planners, pills or potions. All you need is the knowledge on how your body actually works and why and how it stores fat. You need to know which foods it likes and which it will just turn into plain old fat!</p>

<p>Although the acai berries are available in many forms like juices, health drinks, tablets and capsules, the purest form of the acai berries is the pulp of the fresh fruit. The acai berries are short-lived; which means they must be consumed quickly after being plucked from the trees. Due to its increasing importance the acai berry juice is being made available throughout the world, but for this it has to be processed in a certain way so as to protect its nutritional content.</p>
<p>Spray drying and freeze drying are the two ways that are used to process the acai berries. Although freeze dried form of the acai berry is more nutritious than the spray dried form, it is ten times costly than the spray dried form. The process of freeze drying includes three steps which are: freezing, primary drying and secondary drying. </p>
<p>In this process the berries are first frozen to keep the natural contents intact and then are allowed to sublime.
