How Eating Fruit Can Boost Your Health

Fruit is one of the most significant providers of nutrients and minerals in our diet. However, a lot of people overlook this and persist in consuming vast quantities of protein and starch. The result of this is an increasing incidences of diseases, such as diabetes, and obesity. Many people enquire what are the benefits from eating fruit?

The benefits include:

1. It is extremely easy to prepare. It usually just requires washing, maybe peeling and eating. There is no cooking involved and, therefore, can save on other chores like washing pots and pans.

2. Fruit tastes very good. This is important, especially for children, along with the fact that they are also brightly colored which makes them even more appetizing. Many people would actually consider fruit as a desert or treat.

3. Fruits are easily digested and absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and, therefore, requires overall less energy. Most people, as a result of this, feel more energized and need less sleep.

4. Whilst on a diet of mainly fruit it is very difficult to actually become fat. The result of this is that the body fat level will fall leaving you feel healthy and lean.

5. Fruit has a high fiber content. It can, therefore, help with the transition of food through the gastrointestinal tract and can help in preventing and relieving symptoms that affect the gut such as constipation. When people suffer with constipation a lot of the toxic waste sits stagnant in the bowel which can get absorbed into the system. As a result of this, these toxins can cause illness, lethargy and the feeling of being generally unwell. Eating a fruit diet can prevent this from occurring.

6. The digestion of fruit leaves behind very little in the way of waste products in the body. This can subsequently reduce the wear and tear on various organs and reduce the rate of aging.

7. Eating a predominantly fruit diet will allow your body to detoxify and cleanse itself on a regular basis. Waste toxic matter from the digestion of proteins, dairy products and starches can collect in the body over many years. Even consuming fruit for only a few days can help detoxify the body and get rid of these bad waste products. This can assist in the lowering of damage to the body and enhance the sensation of energy and well-being.

If you are suffering from poor health or are looking to get fit and feel healthy then increasing the amount of fruit in your diet is a good step to get closer to your goal.

The Importance of Juicing Vegetables

The benefits of juicing are all factors of the ingredients you put into. While each category of ingredients has its own strengths, overconsumption of anything is dangerous. So it is important, just like eating, that we try as wide a variety of foods as possible. Constantly look for new juicer recipes and try fruits and vegetables you’ve never seen before.

One of the ways juicing helps a lot of people are where the texture or particular taste is unappealing. While I always believed, just as you acquire a taste the same is true in reverse. Use juicing as training wheels to eating vegetables.

But the benefit of juicing vegetable differs in that fruits and fruit juices contain much higher levels of sugar than their vegetable counterparts. Another significant difference is that fruits lack the chlorophyll contained in vegetables.

Chlorophyll contained in vegetables do a lot to promote the well being of our bodies. To plants, chlorophyll serves many functions that at this moment are not of our concern. Our concern is the cleansing, antiseptic, cell rejuvenating properties it provides.

The true benefit of chlorophyll is that it helps the blood. All the cleaning and antiseptic stuff is what the blood is suppose to do. Chlorophyll, by being so similar to hemoglobin, the part of the blood that carries oxygen and is what you are really benefiting, increases the amount of hemoglobin making your blood healthier and more effective. The body can convert chlorophyll to make hemoglobin and that makes the blood better at doing what it does.

In fact, consuming sufficient amounts of chlorophyll consistently over an extended period of time has reported numerous health benefits. Among some of the most immediate benefits are increases in blood count, alleviates blood sugar problems, and relieves gastric ulcers on top of the already mentioned benefits of detoxifying and cleansing.

We know that chlorophyll is what makes plants green. It is the powerhouse that converts sunlight into energy. The greener the vegetable, the more chlorophyll it contains. Ultimately, the highest concentration of chlorophyll comes from alfalfa, barley grass, and chlorella, as well as spirulina and wheatgrass. The only problem is attaining these products as they are not readily available to all areas.

Chlorella is especially important as it is high in vitamin B12, something that many vegetarians lack if they are not careful about taking supplements or finding other sources of vitamin B12. It’s a vitamin that is found mostly in animal products but is also contained in chlorella. If you can’t get a hold of chlorella there are chlorella tablets that many juicers will crush into powder and add to juices. This allows for nutrients to be absorbed into the body most effectively.
